Internship

During the summer between the 3rd year and 4th year, students can strengthen their practical skills through domestic and overseas internships. More than 80 institutions in the public and private sectors have worked closely with the DCCI to provide internship opportunities for our students.

  • Duration: The internship takes place every July and August, spanning a total of 8 weeks or 320 hours.
  • Number of Students: It is recommended that 1-3 students participate in an overseas internship at a company.
  • Student Background: Participants vary in specialization, including Brand Design, Visual Design, Marketing, Multimedia, and Exhibition Design. Students eligible for the summer overseas internship are in their 3rd year, transitioning into their 4th year.
  • Supervision: A supervisor from the internship company will guide the students throughout their internship period. Additionally, a faculty member will oversee the students’ progress and conduct a visit to evaluate their performance.

Overseas Summer Internship Information

  • Language Proficiency: Students are generally more proficient in English than in Japanese. However, we have had students in the past who achieved N3 or N2 levels of Japanese proficiency.
  • Support: The school and department will apply for a government grant to sponsor the airplane ticket and a portion of the living costs. The internship company is not required to provide a salary.
  • Support: Student will look for housing on their own. However, if the internship company can provide the accommodation or suggestion, it will be beneficial for the students.




 

 

International Short Program

  • Duration: The program ranges from 5 to 7 days, allowing students to gain international exposure.
  • Activities: Students will have the opportunity to visit partner schools, explore local sites, and participate in various cultural activities.
